Although Covid has had somewhat of a dampening effect on WTBF's work over the last few years, we've been keeping an eye on the state of things in the heritage sector. We understand that there is a need for us to have some clarity on our purpose and aims, and have appointed Bella Romain (pictured) of Black Mountain Conservation to help us on our journey, as an administrator for WTBF.

Bella is a traditional craftswoman, specialising in lime plastering and pointing and masonry repairs. Bella was trained by Coleg Sir Gar and the Tywi Centre's Joe Moriarty before an apprenticeship with Tree and Sons in Pembrokeshire. She has recently achieved an MSc with distinction in Building Conservation through the University of York.

Bella is passionate about community involvement in heritage and believes that arming property owners with a trowel and basic lime knowledge helps to increase the longevity of our built heritage.

Away from work, she enjoys walking her pooch, Rosie, spending time near the sea, travelling in her campervan and carving linoprints of old buildings- sometimes all at the same time!

If you'd like to help WTBF, by providing us with some feedback on our scope of purpose, please see the survey at the below link, and feel free to share it with anyone you know who may be interested in completing it.
